Introducing Greenville Chiropractor Dr. Shawn LaBelle

Meet Greenville chiropractor Dr. Shawn LaBelle.

"I was at the end of my rope," recalls Dr. Shawn LaBelle. "I had hurt my lower back pole vaulting for my college, and now I was having a hard time even getting to class. After trying several traditional approaches like physical therapy and medications, I was actually worse. Seeing my obvious despair, a trusted friend finally drove me to see Dr. John Johnston, a local chiropractor."

"After the first treatment I was able to move like a normal person. Within a few weeks, I was back at track practice, and after two months of treatment, I actually set a record for the team! Not only did chiropractic help my lower back, but I also went an entire season with no allergies, something I had fought all my life. That's when I decided to become a chiropractor."

Dr. LaBelle was already entered in the engineering program at the University of Florida, so he switched majors to Microbiology to complete his pre-chiropractic training. He studied the basic sciences such as inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, along with basic physiology and anatomy courses.

After completing his study there, he was accepted at Life College of Chiropractic in Atlanta, Georgia. During his four years at Life, courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, X-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the Life College Public Clinic. After graduating in 1988 Dr. LaBelle moved to Greenville to establish his practice.

“We love skeptics,” smiles Dr. LaBelle. “I still remember the concerns and apprehension I had when I went to the chiropractor for the first time. So we make it a point to explain everything in advance, answer questions and attempt to over communicate. Patients appreciate that, and we love helping people understand how God made our bodies work.”

Dr. LaBelle is married to Karen and they have three children, Noah, Summer, and Asa. All of the children have been adjusted since birth and have never been vaccinated or received an antibiotic. (If that sounds interesting, be sure to ask Dr. LaBelle to explain!)

"As an tri-athelete 'want to be,' running, biking, and swimming is part of my weekly routine. Eating healthy foods, drinking lots of water, and getting adjusted once a week has helped me continue to do what I love. Although I still love sweet rolls and a cup of coffee, I'm getting better at 'walking the talk!' "

“Enough about me! How can we help you with today’s safe and natural chiropractic care? Give us a call so we can help you take your first step towards better health.”

Dr. Shawn Asks some important questions of interest to Greenville residents - Chiropractor Greenville Dr. Shawn Asks...

Will chiropractic adjustments make my spine too loose?
No. Only the spinal joints that are fixated and "locked up" receive attention. The occasional spinal joint that moves too much is passed over so weakened muscles and ligaments can strengthen and heal.
How long will you need chiropractic care?
You'll need chiropractic care as long as you live in Greenville and encounter physical, chemical or emotional stress that you cannot adapt to or accommodate. Ready to get started? Call our office today.
